The Opportunity
Abt’s Global Talent Acquisition Team seeks an
International Talent Acquisition Lead. As the International Talent
Acquisition Lead, you will manage a team of regionally based talent
acquisition partners. In addition, you will be responsible for executing
recruitment strategies to attract talent, developing strong
partnerships with hiring and proposals teams, building a bench of
qualified candidates, cultivating an in-depth understanding of hiring
needs, establishing a strong recruiting network, and utilizing numerous
techniques to source and attract potential talent that reflect the
communities Abt works with. You will partner with business leaders to
realize Abt’s talent strategy and enable mission impact.

This position can be based in England, Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, Tanzania, South Africa, or Senegal.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop,
    mentor, and directly manage a regional team of Talent Acquisition
    Partners through coaching, balancing business needs, and driving
    professional development and growth while seeking to maximize
    contributions.
  • Maintain records on recruiting activities and analyze metrics for continued improvement.
  • Coach
    team to ensure a variety of standard and specialized sourcing
    techniques are used to identify a high-quality diverse candidate pool.
  • Collaborate
    with Global Talent Acquisition Manager and business leaders to
    anticipate future talent needs and proactively identify areas for
    recruitment to support business growth.
  • Manage full-cycle
    recruitment of key personnel for USAID proposals, including partnering
    with proposal teams around personnel strategies as needed.
  • Manage full-cycle recruitment of donor-funded (mostly USAID) projects and corporate home office positions as needed.
  • Work
    with hiring managers and regional talent acquisition partners to
    develop and extend equitable offers of employment to selected candidates
    within the guidelines of Abt’s employment policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate
    with Talent Acquisition Leadership on various operational tasks to
    ensure efficiency in the international talent acquisition processes.
  • Ensure
    compliance with all governmental and client employment regulations and
    requirements, as well as Abt-specific policies and procedures.
  • Create
    and foster relationships with key associations, industry specific
    organizations, and other resources and to attract candidates to Abt.
  • Promote Abt’s employer brand and Employee Value Proposition.
  • Promote equity and inclusion and develop strategies for building a representative talent pipeline
  • Partner across the Human Resources group to implement strategic priorities

What We Value

  • Bachelor’s Degree + Six years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree + Four years of relevant experience
  • Previous experience recruiting for an International Development organization and/or USAID or FCDO, proposals is required.
  • 1+ years of experience directly managing a team of talent acquisition professionals.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated experience of managing full-cycle recruitment processes, including offer development and negotiation.
  • Experience
    using LinkedIn Recruiter, Applicant Tracking Systems, and successfully
    incorporating creative sourcing methods that yield diverse candidate
    pools.
  • A willingness to have crucial conversations with direct reports and hiring teams
  • Commitment to learning and working with a sense of urgency.
  • Fluent in English and working knowledge of French, Kiswahili, or Russian preferred.
