Contract type: 6 months Fixed‑term, 40 hours per week
Location: Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania with possibility of travel to field offices
Salary: Daily Stipend

About the role
As our
Administrative Support Intern, you will support WaterAid Tanzania’s
front office and administrative functions, including procurement
administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include managing visitors,
coordinating travel and meetings, and handling routine office duties,
helping to maintain an efficient and professional work environment and
work closely with WaterAid Tanzania staff to drive sustainable change.

In this role, you will:Â
- Maintain a professional front desk by welcoming guests and handling all inquiries via phone, email, or in-person.
- Route incoming mail and calls to appropriate staff promptly.
- Monitor and manage office consumables and supplies inventory.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
- Manage meeting room setups and supervise office cleanliness.
- Assist in planning and facilitating travel, bookings, and logistical arrangements.
- Provide logistical support for meetings, workshops, and events
- Support travel planning, bookings, and itineraries for staff or guests
- Help organize procurement-related documentation and assist in bid collection
- Assist in collecting and comparing supplier quotes
- Help prepare purchase requests and documentation
- Track orders and follow up with vendors for timely deliveries
- Support inventory management and stock record updates
- Assist with calendar management and meeting logistic for CD
- Support in follow-ups and tracking action points for CD

Requirements
- To be successful, you will need: Diploma/degree in Business Administration, Management, Secretarial Studies, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of procurement and logistics coordination
- Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have: Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Job Type: Full-time
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
