Dash Petroleum Vacancy – General Accountant
Position: General Accountant
Reports to: Managing Director
Location: Moshi

Requirement:

• Holder of Bachelor Degree in one of the following fields: Accountancy,
  Finance, Commerce or Business Administration (Majoring in Accountancy or
  Finance)
• Working experience of not less than 3 years in a similar role. Familiar with computer system (and any accounting package/system)
• CPA (T), ACCA or equivalent professional qualification as an added advantage

The duties shall include:

• Manage petty cash payments, and update cashbook daily
• Perform reconciliation, payment, and collection of accounting documents in the company;
• Support in the consolidation, preparation, and timely submission of financial reports for the company
• Maintain an effective filing system of financial documents
• Ensure
  efficient payments and disbursements according to approved policy:
  control of the reception of invoices, verification of compliance;
• Prepare Financial reports (monthly/quarterly/yearly) and be able to explain all reported figures
• To Prepare pay roll computations and reports;
• To carry out regular bank reconciliation
• Ensure Employment return is filled effectively and on time through Taxpayer Portal
• To prepare monthly tax reports, tax return requests etc
• To ensure financial information are correctly entered into company software programs i.e., Purchases documents etc
• Any other accounting duties as maybe assigned by your Line Manager
• Managing inventory and ordering fuel and merchandise
• Supervising and training staff
• Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations
• Handling customer inquiries and complaints
• Monitoring sales and financial transactions
• Maintaining the station’s cleanliness
