China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation
(CCECC): The main contractor of the standard gauge railway project (SGR)
Tabora – Kigoma lot 6. CCECC is seeking to recruit suitably qualified
and experienced highly motivated candidates to fill four (3) positions as detailed below:
3 New Jobs SGR Tabora – Kigoma at CCECC July 2025 – Various Posts
DESIGN AND BUILD CONTRACT FOR THE ELECTRIFIED STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY (SGR) LINE PHASE II FROM TABORA TO KIGOMA
1. Senior Topographical Surveyor (1 Post)
Required Qualification and Experience:
– The topographical Surveyor shall be a holder of Advance Diploma in land surveying.
Must be registered as a Land Surveyor.
– Must have at least six (6) years of specific experience in design and construction related to land surveying activities.
–
Must have served as a Topographical Surveyor on at least Two (2)
projects of similar magnitudes and complexity within the last 6 years.
– Must have a working experience of at least 3 years in Sub-Sahara African Countries.
– Age limit: Not above 45 years of age.
Duties and Responsibilities:
– Prepare and maintain sketches, maps and reports of works performed.
– Review survey data for accuracy, including measurements and calculations conducted at surveys sites.
– Direct or conduct surveys in order to establish legal boundaries for properties.
– Record the results of surveys, including the shape, contour, location, elevation and dimensions of land or land features.

Search legal records, survey records, and land titles in order to
obtain information about properties boundaries in areas to be surveyed.
– Coordinate findings with engineers, clients, and other stakeholders concerned with projects.
– Adjust surveying instrument in order to maintain their accuracy.
– Establish fixed points for use in making maps, using geodetic and engineering instruments.
– Determine coordinates of important features and boundaries in survey areas.
– Develop criteria for survey methods and procedures.
– Determine specifications for photographic equipment to be used for aerial photography.
– Perform such other related duties as may be assigned by supervisor.
2. Excavator Operator
Duties and responsibilities
– Operating the excavator. Breaking and drilling large stones leveling, loading materials
– Guide the feeding truck for loading in the specify the location, and carefully fill in the receipt and incoming records
– Daily excavator inspection, maintenance and ensuring that the excavator is operating normally.
– Adhere and pay attention to safety production guidelines and procedures while operating the excavator.
– Any other duties assigned by management.

The incumbent must demonstrate the following skills:
– Ability to operate all types of excavator’s and Backhoe Machine
– Ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner

– Ability to read and write to record pickups and maintain daily records

– Ability to operate other types of construction machines will be advantageous
Qualification
– Possess a valid driving license with current endorsements for class(F) of machine(s) that one may be
required to operate
– Clean Police Clearance Report
– Certificate of service from previous companies work with
– Experience in mining/construction project 5 years or more will add advantage
3. Crane Operator
Duties and responsibilities
– Operate the mobile cranes to move materials, and equipment as directed as per standard & safety operating procedures
– Perform daily pre-operational checks and report any issues or malfunctions.
– Coordinate with ground personnel for safe lifting, loading, and unloading operations.
– Ensure correct slinging techniques and load balance before lifting.
– Adhere to safety procedures, load limits, and plant operating guidelines.
– Maintain clear communication via radio or signals with team members.
– Document crane usage, movements, and any incidents in the logbook.
– Participate in routine maintenance and inspections when required.
– Assist with basic troubleshooting of crane systems under supervision.
– Assist 6S (cleanliness and orderliness) for crane cab and operating area.
– Attend to any other duty as assigned by the shift supervisor.
Qualification
–
Possess a valid driving license with current endorsements for class(F)
of machine(s) that one may be required to operate any other class will
be added advantage
– Clean Police Clearance Report
– Certificate of service from previous companies work with
– Experience in mining/construction project 5 years or more will add advantage
