1. HR Officer / Site Supervisor
HR Officer / Site Supervisor Job Opportunity at AMET Resources
Role Overview:
The
HR Officer will be based at the mining site (camp) located in Mopogoro
village, Chunya (Mbeya Region) and will play a critical role in managing
and supervising staff, ensuring compliance with HR policies, and
monitoring employee performance, attendance, and welfare. This position
requires close collaboration with the HR Manager, who will provide
guidance and oversight. The HR Officer will report directly to the HR
Manager and Senior Management as required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee staff presence at the mining site and ensure all employees adhere to assigned work schedules.
• Monitor time of arrival at the plant/place of work and departure times to ensure compliance with working hours.
• Ensure
  accurate recording and reporting of staff attendance, absenteeism,
  punctuality, working hours, overtime, disciplinary actions and holiday
  entitlements.
• Ensure all employees take their allocated holidays in accordance with company policies.
• Manage employee performance, resolve workplace issues, and maintain morale.
• Communicate performance-related concerns and any HR-related issues or disputes to the HR Manager and Senior Management.
• Act as the on-site representative for the HR Manager, ensuring smooth communication between the site and head office
• Work closely with the HR Manager, receiving training and guidance to ensure tasks are executed effectively.
• Implement HR processes and procedures as directed by the HR Manager.
• Support the implementation and adherence of workplace health and safety policies, ensuring compliance by all employees.
• Assist in onboarding of new site employees, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to employment policies.
• Conduct site orientation for new hires, focusing on safety, company policies, and job expectations.
• Provide detailed reports to the HR Manager and Senior Management upon request.
• Ensure confidentiality and security of all HR documentation and records.
• Perform
  other related duties and tasks as needed within the processing plant
  and mining site as assigned by HR Manager or Senior Management.

2. Mechanic
Mechanic Job Opportunity at AMET Resources
Position: Mechanic
Role Overview:
Working
as part of a team, this is an integral role to assist in the
exploration, development, production and preparation of agreed
designated mining project/site. Work involves a camp based role at the
AMET Mine site with a set work schedule on a 6/7. The role includes
general support duties including assisting with site preparation,
assisting in operation of tools and equipment, undertaking testing,
gathering information and samples, assisting in surveying and drafting
and planning solutions at designated projects/sites, performing the
allocated tasks to meet applicable safety standards, targets, criteria
and deadlines and to maximise productivity and profitability.

Regular
exposure to working indoors and outdoors, continuous noise, working
around machinery with moving parts, around heavy equipment and in close
proximity to others. Exposure to hazardous environments with the
requirement of wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). AMET plant
is a safety-sensitive environment and promotes a drug & alcohol-free
workplace and has adopted a zero – tolerance policy, with respect to
alcohol or unauthorized drugs/paraphernalia on site. The employee is
expected to stay at the mine site, while on rotation, which is based at
the mining site (camp) located in Mopogoro village, Chunya (Mbeya
Region).

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out duties as directed by site supervisors or other relevant management personnel, provided it is safe to do so.
• Maintain
  and repair onsite mine equipment and light/heavy vehicles as requested
  by Mine Operations and Maintenance supervision from the most complex to
  the simplest tasks.
• Use computer programs to check reported trouble and order parts.
• Maximize equipment availability through utilizing efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.
• Perform
  preventative maintenance such as inspections, lubricating, oil changes,
  and failure analysis, upon confirmation of the Management.
• Diagnose
  faults and malfunctions and carry out necessary repairs including major
  component replacement and repair or rebuild, upon confirmation of the
  Management..
• Work on transmissions and hydraulic systems of heavy equipment.
• Fit tyres for machinery and equipment.
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
• Maintain
  a safe and clean work environment. Work together as a team with Mine
  and Mill Operations to ensure the mine site works as a well oiled,
  harmonious unit.
• Performs any other responsibilities related to the Mechanic role as required or as assigned by the department head.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, Environmental and other policies, procedures, and requirements.
