Overview
Precision Air Services Plc
is a private Tanzanian airline which
operates domestics and regional routes in East Africa and nearby regions

services at a higher level and meet our customers’ satisfaction, we wish
to invite applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill in the below positions.

APPRENTICE TOOLS CONTROL AND CUSTOMER KEY ACCOUNT ENGINEER (1 Position(s))
Job Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
To
undertake a structured training program of class training and
on-job-training for performing the process of monitoring tools and
equipment in order to keep them constantly in working order and to
prevent delays in maintenance activity due to malfunctioning. Ensure all
Third-Party M&E Customers are attended to on-time including timely
preparation of Quotations and Sales Invoices for Materials &
Services ensuring delivery of high standard services.

Responsibilities:

  • Learn
    proper tools receipt procedures- delivery notes/packing lists tallying
    with orders, QA inspection and certification done, tagging and timely
    posting, and lodging enquiries to senior technical materials and sales
    engineer in the event of variances/discrepancies.
  • Learn
    identification of tools & maintain a list of all tools and ensure
    tracking of service history and tools documentation. All tools and
    equipment must be identified by their part numbers & serial numbers
    if available and must be accompanied by the respective tags (whether
    serviceable or unserviceable).
  • Learn to ensure all tools &
    equipment that require calibration are calibrated and the last
    calibration date & due date for calibration must be indicated on the
    tag.
  • Learn to liaise with procurement in order to make
    arrangements for tools needing calibration or any other relevant
    servicing/maintenance to be sent out and delivered back on time in order
    to ensure availability and serviceability.
  • Learn timely, accurate and procedural issue of tools to end users hence satisfaction.
  • Learn
    to become one of the main focal points for the review of terms and
    conditions and highlight any areas of concern for consideration
    associated with serving of third-party customers.
  • Learn
    preparation of quotations for materials and maintenance services for
    third-party customers and processing of received customer purchase
    orders.
  • Attending inter-departmental meetings and liaise with
    technical services, line maintenance, base maintenance and workshops to
    ensure that the customer receives timely and high standard services.
  • Maintaining
    extensive technical knowledge and assisting with closing sales where
    technical expertise may be required to fit customers needs.
  • Learn
    to generate high-quality sales in order to promote securing and
    renewing orders. Participate in negotiating prices, completing sales,
    and arranging delivery of materials & technical services to the
    client.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
  • Taking
    reasonable care of own safety and security and the safety of others who
    may be affected by your acts or omission while undertaking your duties/
    tasks.
  • Cooperating with the Company to enable it comply with the relevant regulatory provisions and standards.
  • Using, in the correct manner, all protective equipment and procedures provided by the company.
  • Reporting
    to the company, without delay, any defects in procedures or equipment
    that they are aware of that might compromise safety.
  • Taking all
    reasonable and practical measures, this may include the submission of
    safety reports, to prevent injury or fatality to themselves or other
    persons and damage to or loss of aircraft.
  • Responsible for safety as referenced in the Safety Management Manual [SMM] Doc ref. PW/CM/002.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Skill :

  • Demonstrated ability during the course of attachments.
  • Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software.
  • Knowledge on the Maintenance & Engineering Procedures.
  • Demonstrated competence in engineering practices.


Qualification Required:

  • Graduate
    from a recognized University in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering,
    Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or
    equivalent.
  • Experience :
  • Graduate from a recognized
    University in Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering,
    Aeronautical/Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or equivalent
    with at least one (1) working experience in Maintenance and
    Engineering.

AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (4 Position(s))
Job Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
To
carry out assigned repair and replacement tasks on aircraft and
aircraft systems in accordance with TCAA regulations and company
procedures at optimized cost for the business while upholding high
safety standards to maintain schedule integrity.
Responsibilities:

  • Carry
    out routine and non-routine maintenance tasks and perform service
    bulletins for safe and timely release of aircraft within planned
    downtime for continued airworthiness.
  • Carry out repair,
    replacement, overhaul, modification and testing of aircraft components
    and aircraft tools for optimal turnaround time to ensure continuous
    availability of serviceable component.
  • Carry out maintenance tasks on cabin utilities and IFE systems for utmost Customer satisfaction and comfort.
  • Identify and requisition required parts.
  • Report incident / accident occurrences as per company procedures.
  • Accurately record and sign all maintenance tasks carried out to ensure Aircraft history is correct and up to date.
  • Check
    and evaluate materials, tools, and equipment required for assigned
    Tasks while maintaining high safety standards to personnel and
    equipment.
  • Adhere to the company safety, health and environmental policy.
  • Co-ordinate
    aircraft towing to and from hangars by communicating with the tower /
    apron control and operating the necessary aircraft systems for safe and
    timely movement of the aircraft.
  • Carry out security checks as per the Maintenance Procedures Manual.
  • Coach internship students for increased proficiency.
  • Work towards acquiring basic licenses.
  • Responsible as reference to Safety Management Manual ((SMM) Doc ref. PW/CM/002 Chapter 1.6.2-1.6.3
  • Any other duty as assigned by supervisor.

Skill :
Experience

  • Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline.
  • At least three (3) years of working experience in aircraft maintenance.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Knowledgeable of TCAA regulations.
  • Human factors knowledge.
  • Aircraft type course.
  • Airside Safety Training


Qualification Required:

Education

  • Diploma in the relevant engineering discipline and an approved apprenticeship Program.
  • Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in aircraft maintenance
  • Knowledge on aircraft systems.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Knowledgeable on TCAA regulations.
  • Human factors knowledge.
  • Aircraft type course.
  • Airside Safety Training.
