On
behalf of our reputable client in Hospitality Industry we are a looking
for Qualified and well Experienced Senior Internal Auditor to fill the
above role in Arusha Tanzania.
Position Title: Senior Certified Internal Auditor
Salary: TZS 8,000,000/=-10,000,000/=
Reporting to: Group Head of Audit Risk & Compliance (Assurance)
Duty station: Arusha Head Office with frequent audit visits to the Stores, Units & Regional offices.
Position Summary:
The
Senior Internal Auditor (SIA) is a self-driven, highly motivated
individual with a passion for conducting risk-based audits to provide
requisite assurance and insight, highlighting internal control
deficiencies and associated compliance matters to recommend necessary
risk mitigation measures.
The SIA possesses a systematic approach
to examine and evaluate the adequacy, effectiveness and efficiency of
risk management processes towards the achievement of strategic
objectives by performing complete audit cycle(s), including assessment
of risk and internal controls over operations’ effectiveness, financial
reporting and compliance with all applicable procedures and regulations.
This
position performs senior level duties independently and serves as team
lead on assigned audits, upholding auditing standards and practices for
the institutional internal audit function. The incumbent will exercise
discretion and independent judgement while performing internal audit
engagements, conducting audit activity in accordance with Internal Audit
standards.
The SIA is an avid explorer, analyst, problem-solver,
reporter, trusted advisor & key catalyst for improving governance
and contributing to operational excellence by enabling control measures
to mitigate revenue leakage and initiatives to lower operational cost.
Performing
all phases of an array of internal audit activities, the SIA will
evaluate risks, analyses opportunities, recommend improvements, promote
ethics, ensure accuracy of records and financial statements, investigate
fraud, detect wasteful spending, raise red flags, recommend better
controls, assure on asset safeguard(s) in place and monitor compliance
with policy, procedure and regulation.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Internal audit, pre-investment audits (Due Diligence), business support and consultations
- Assuring risk analysis and audit programs,
- Supporting management in optimizing internal controls,
- Assessment of compliance, efficiency and effectiveness of operations and accuracy of reported information,
- Examining financial records, information storage systems and internal controls,
- Evaluating management procedures and operations,
- Reviewing
all records and information related to expenditures, costs, taxes, and
internal controls to determine if a company is secure and has a strong
financial foundation.

Prerequisites:Â

- Ability to identify solutions & recommendations that effectively address internal control risk profiles
- Possess excellent research skills to timely source requisite information in support of audit findings
- Proficient communication skills, both written and verbal, with consistent attention to detail
- Ability to compile & present comprehensive & well detailed, value add audit reports
- Ability to persuasively communicate insights and recommendations to the auditee
Education:
- Bachelor’s
degree in business, accounting or data analyst from an accredited
University or college, with a professional certification such as
Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or
other relevant certifications.
Experience:Â
- Minimum
4-6 years proven audit work experience, preferably in a prominent
professional audit firm and/ or reputed hospitality establishment. - Experience in Oracle NetSuite or similar ERP, related POS and ResRequest will be advantageous
- Certification
in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certification in Risk Management
Assurance (CRMA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certification in
Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation(s) will be

Our
client operates six five-star Lodge, Luxury Camp and Boutique Hotel in
Tanzania particularly in main Tanzania National Park. We are interested
to invite inspired individuals to join our client team, who share our
client passion for excellence and are eager to contribute to creating
extraordinary experiences for our client guests.
Our client needs
3 Executive Chef to join their team in Tanzania. Qualified candidates
will be in charge of all the food outlets of the establishment:
breakfast, the Luxury Restaurant, Ngorongoro Conservation Area Lodge,
Other service, and banquets, as well as the all restaurants dedicated
for the staff in the designated Lodge.
Key Responsibilities:
Kitchen Management & OperationsÂ
- Assist in the overall management of the kitchen and food production.
- Oversee daily food preparation, including assisting with mise en place, cooking, and supervising kitchen personnel.
- Ensure kitchen readiness before service, including cleanliness, stock levels, and meeting minimum guest service standards.
Service Supervision
- Act
as Head Chef during service times, managing food orders at the pass,
and ensuring the consistency of food quality, portion control,
presentation, and timely service. - Perform final checks on all dishes leaving the kitchen, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
Menu Development & Cost ManagementÂ
- Assist in reviewing and developing menus, including special function menus, while maintaining cost efficiency.
- Complete
menu costings, monitor kitchen production costs, and maintain records
of sales and stock-taking to ensure budget compliance.
Stock & Equipment ControlÂ
- Manage
kitchen stock, including purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing
goods while controlling inventory and minimizing waste. - Conduct regular stock checks and ensure proper maintenance of kitchen equipment.
Staff Development & Supervision
- Train and supervise kitchen staff to ensure adherence to portion control, food presentation, and hygiene standards.
- Prepare duty rosters and maintain effective communication through meetings and feedback sessions.
- Conduct staff performance appraisals and identify areas for development and training.
Guest SatisfactionÂ
- Ensure
all guest requests are met promptly and efficiently during meal
service, conducting regular table checks to anticipate and fulfill guest
needs. - Address guest complaints and ensure satisfactory resolution in a timely manner.
Health, Safety & Hygiene Compliance
- Maintain and enforce high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in food preparation and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including staff training on emergency procedures and hygiene practices.
General Duties
Perform additional tasks as assigned by management to support the overall business operations.
Attend relevant training courses to improve skills and stay updated on industry standards and trends.
Maintain a professional appearance and high level of personal hygiene, representing the hotel in a positive manner at all times.
Job Requirements:
Education:Â
- College education plus a Certificate in Professional Cookery.
Experience:
- Proven experience in a similar role within the food and beverage industry.
Skills:Â
- Strong
kitchen management and organizational skills, the ability to multitask
and work under pressure, and proficiency in food costing and inventory
management. - Language:Â
- Proficient in English for effective communication with guests and management.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have the stamina to supervise kitchen operations and stand for extended periods.
