Job Location: Nduruma, Arusha, Tanzania
Objective of the Role: 
To oversee and execute all activities related to the life cycle of
small production material—from nursery to seed extraction—ensuring
adherence to protocols, timely execution, and accurate reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee nursery operations, including sowing, germination monitoring, and transplanting.
• Maintain accurate germination records and generate timely reports on crop performance.
• Coordinate and ensure seamless crop cycle change over. Prepares
  timely clean growing media, ensures the highest hygiene standards are
  implemented when starting a new production cycle.
• Oversees block planting as per the planned layout.
• Plan and manage labour schedules, including weekends and public
  holidays, while ensuring team training and compliance with protocols.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy or a related field.
• Knowledge of seed production process, including pollination , emasculation. And seed extraction.
• Over 5 years of work experience in a similar role and in a green house setting.
• Proven ability to supervise and guide teams effectively, ensuring high-quality performance.
• Basic understanding of stock management systems..
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with local and international teams.
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in  working with multiple related software.

Position: Assistant Production Manager – Irrigation and Climate
Reports to: Production Manager

Job Type: Full-time
Job Location: Nduruma, Arusha, Tanzania
Objective of the Role: 
To
support efficient and high-quality crop production through active
monitoring of irrigation, climate conditions, and farm hygiene, while
maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely reporting and
maintenance.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage computerised greenhouse irrigation systems and climate systems.
• Conduct regular soil, water, and substrate sampling and coordinate external analysis.
• Maintain accurate crop production records and climate data.
• Supervise labour teams, plan work schedules, and ensure leave coordination.
• Train staff on irrigation, climate systems, and workplace health and safety.

Qualification and Skills: 

• Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, Irrigation Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of irrigation scheduling, climate control systems and crop production processes.
• Over 5 years of work experience in a similar role and in a green house setting.
• Proven ability to supervise and guide teams effectively, ensuring high-quality performance.
• Hands on experience with soil, water and substrate sampling and analysis.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for coordination with local and international teams.
• Excellent
  computer skills and proficiency in working with multiple related
  software with proficiency in data collection, analysis, and record
  keeping using agricultural software.
