Meru Agro-Tours & Consultants Co. Ltd (MATCC) is a local private
company based in Arusha that specialized in Agricultural inputs
business. The company deals with multiplication and distribution of agro
seeds; importation and distribution of agrochemicals and provision of
technical advisory services on farm input use and management. In
addition, the company conducts agricultural research in collaboration
with national, regional and international research institutes. In its
bid to implements its business development strategies the company is
looking for self driving candidates to fill the mentioned vacancies.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Shall identify seed and agrochemicals business opportunities available in his/her districts for selling company products
• Shall be responsible to identify, establish and manage demonstrations plots for both agro seeds and agrochemicals.
• Shall organize farmers and conduct localized field days
• Shall organize farmers/farmers groups and train them, and demonstrate company’s products.
• Shall train agro dealers on seed subsidy program and demonstrate company’s products to agro dealers.
• Shall
  be responsible to distribute free packs and promotional materials to
  farmers, agro dealers and record information of all beneficiaries of
  free packs and promotional materials.
• Responsible to establish
  partnerships with non-competing companies/institutions for the purpose
  of collaborating in seed/agrochemicals marketing activities.
• Shall link farmers with agro dealers/company’s sales team.

Minimum Qualifications/Job Specifications

• Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture, Extensions, Agri-business or any other Agriculture related field. Job type Full-time Job
• At least 1 year of work experience in a reputable agri-business company
• Must have a valid driving license and experience to ride a motorcycle
