1. Pipe Fitter
Job Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW
Department: Open Pit Mining
Report to: Maintenance Supervisor
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To carry out fitting and maintenance works on
piping systems and related components in mining operations. This
includes the installation, repair, inspection, and replacement of pipes
and fittings. The Pipe Fitter must ensure proper function and safety of
all piping systems, while working to reduce unplanned breakdowns through
effective inspections and planned maintenance schedules.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Full Technician Certificate in Pipe Fitting, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One in Pipe Fitting or Plumbing.
- VETA Level Three in Fitting and Turning or related field. Job Type: Full-time
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least 5–8 years of working experience in the mining or heavy industrial sector.
- Proven hands-on experience in pipe installation, alignment, testing, and repairs.
- Ability to read piping schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience working with different types of materials (HDPE, steel, PVC, etc.).
- Familiarity with welding processes and techniques is an added advantage.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Install, assemble, fabricate, maintain, and repair pipe systems as per specifications.
- Perform scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance on piping systems.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and ensure minimal downtime.
- Adhere to safety standards before, during, and after task execution.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Accurately complete maintenance reports and submit them to the supervisor.
- Communicate effectively within the team and across departments.
- Exhibit professionalism, self-discipline, and a collaborative attitude.
- Work under minimal supervision and meet set deadlines.

Job Description: Electrician of Heavy Machines
POSITION OVERVIEW
Department: Open Pit Mining
Reports to: Supervisor – Maintenance
Purpose of the Role
The Electrician of Heavy Machines will be
responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and breakdown
maintenance of mining equipment with a focus on electrical systems. The
role emphasizes minimizing equipment downtime by conducting thorough
inspections and early defect identification. Safety and compliance are
essential throughout all task executions.

- Perform routine electrical inspections on heavy mining equipment in accordance with work packages.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on-site with minimal supervision.

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Diploma or Full Technician Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, or Automotive Engineering.
- VETA Trade Test Certificate (Grade I) in Auto Electrical/Mechanical.
- VETA Level III Certificate in Auto Electrical/Mechanical. Job Type: Full-time
- 5–8 years’ experience in the mining industry, specifically with heavy machines.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting electrical systems on machines (ADTs, Excavators, Dozer, and Graders e.tc)
Desirable:
- Advanced Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Computer literacy and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Working knowledge of mechanical-electrical integration systems.
Additional Requirements
- Strong auto-electrical skills and understanding of heavy equipment electrical systems.

Job Description: Heavy equipment Mechanic
POSITION OVERVIEW
Department: Open Pit Mining
Reporting To: Supervisor – Maintenance
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To perform a wide range of mechanical
maintenance tasks on various mobile and stationary equipment used in
mining operations. The role includes Preventive, Corrective, and
Breakdown Maintenance, with the goal of reducing unplanned downtime
through effective inspections and timely repairs. The Full Mechanic must
ensure adherence to safety standards and company maintenance
procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma or Full Technician Certificate in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or equivalent.
- VETA Trade Test Certificate Grade One in Mechanical/Automotive.
- VETA Level Three in Mechanical Engineering. Job Type: Full-time
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in the mining or heavy equipment industry.
- Hands-on experience with a variety of mining and construction machinery, including but not limited to:
- Caterpillar Machines ( e.g. EX 374, etc)
- Liebherr Excavators (e.g., 945, 930)
- Graders, Articulated Dump Trucks, and Bulldozers
- Proficient in troubleshooting mechanical faults.
- Basic knowledge of auto-electrical systems and diagnostics.

Job Description: Drilling Rig Mechanic
POSITION OVERVIEW
 Drilling Rig Mechanic and Auto Electrician
Department: Open Pit Mining
Reporting to: Supervisor – Maintenance
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
To do mining equipment maintenance i.e.
Preventive Maintenance, Corrective Maintenance, and Breakdown work.
Should do as much as possible to have much of the planned task and
minimize breakdown work which is very possible by doing proper and
effective inspection during the daily routine inspection as scheduled
and recording defects for planning maintenance and other  work purposes
which will lead to having right schedule time for the tasks during the
planning meeting.
Maintain safety standards throughout before, during and after completion of the task executions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma/Full Technician in Mechanical/Automotive Engineering or above.
- VETA trade test certificate Grade one in Mechanical/Automotive.
- VETA level three in Mechanical. Job Type: Full-time

EXPERIENCE:
- At least 5 – 8 years’ experience working Mining industry and must possess the following.
- Working experience with different models of mining Rigs i.e. Sandvik DP 1100, HFGA 44, and other drill rig machines.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting all the machines above.
- Knowledge of basic Drilling Rig Auto Electrical.
MAIN OR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Doing effective Mechanical inspection on the equipment during preventive and routine daily inspection as per work package.
- Self-driving on attending equipment breakdowns at the field.
- Do your best to make sure that break down are minimized and do much of the planned works.
- Maintain safety standards and be brother’s keeper in the team.
- Works under minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined.
- Avoid been conflicts creator within the team.
- Have honest communication within the team and to all cross functional departments.
- Maintain good housekeeping all the time.
- Repair equipment and completion of the report to his/her supervisor.
- Execute all assigned tasks on time.
