Quality Controller (QC) Officer

On behalf of TPL, Dark Earth carbon is seeking a qualified QC.
Short Brief of the Company
Tanganyika
Plywood LTD (TPL) produces plywood for the local and regional markets
in East Africa. It uses sustainable plantation materials, specifically
eucalyptus and pine. The company has been operating for 8 years and is
now looking for a dynamic production manager to achieve it growth goals.
The company is located in Mafinga, Tanzania and the project post is for
a full-time position on site.

Job Overview
We are
seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Control Officer to join
our team. He/she will be responsible for maintaining and improving
quality standards across our organization. This role involves ensuring
processes are being implemented, conducting audits, and implementing
corrective actions to ensure compliance with industry regulations and
standards. It requires strong leadership to train people to follow
company procedures and establish processes.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Inspection and testing – inspect products and processes to meet norms and compliance
  • Documentation and recording – maintain detailed records, identify issues and propose corrective actions
  • Develop
    and implement quality assurance procedures and protocols to maintain
    consistent quality standards throughout the production or manufacturing
    process.

Qualifications

  • Higher level education in a relevant field (e.g., Quality Management, Engineering, Business Administration) preferred.
  • Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in a related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards, and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
