Position details:
Job Title: Plumber

Geita Gold Mine, Geita 
Position purpose:
This position is responsible for handling essential plumbing
installations, conduct repairs, and ensure all plumbing systems operate
smoothly as guided by your immediate supervisor and trainer.
Duties and responsibilities 

• A strong Safety focus and ability to ensure a safe workplace through daily inspections and rectification of hazards.
• Complies with all company policies and procedures that are displayed and amended from time to time.
• Takes reasonable care for their own safety and that of other persons who may be affected by their acts.
• Install,
  repair, and maintain pipes, valves, fittings, drainage systems, and
  fixtures (such as sinks, toilets, and water heaters) in AUMS Geofields
  offices and AUMS Geofields camps buildings.
• Perform routine
  inspections of plumbing and drainage systems, finding the source of
  leaks and blockages, fixing or replacing broken parts and testing the
  plumbing system.
• Perform any necessary repairs to previously installed systems.
• Carries out all repairs in accordance with AUMS Geofields procedures.
• Always maintains a high level of housekeeping in the working areas.
• Report all faults to the Supervisor ASAP.
• Willing to assist in other areas when required as directed by supervisor.

Essential requirements 

• At least three years of trade experience as a plumber.
• Recognised trade qualification as a plumber.
• Strong understanding of plumbing systems, including water supply and drainage.
• Excellent service and maintenance approach to the job.
• Willingness to learn to improve skills and gain further experience in mining.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Above average numeracy and verbal/written English
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Basic First Aid Knowledge.
