crises and strengthen community resilience.We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of
Political Economy Analysis (PEA) Lead for an upcoming civil society
activity.
Role overview
The
PEA Lead will lead on the production of programme PEAs and support
capacity development to use PEA and Thinking and Working Politically
(TWP) approaches as part of programme implementation. This includes the
inception phase PEA, regular updates and sectoral analysis, and the
detailed component issue-based PEAs. The PEA Lead will support PEA
integration into programme operations and risk management and support
the programme team to build the capacity of grantees and partners to
work in politically smart ways.
The PEA lead will work with the
PD and DPD to ensure politically smart approaches are centred within the
programme. She/he will also work closely with and support the Senior
Technical Leads working across the three components.
The PEA Lead will be a part-time role based in Tanzania.
Person specification
The PEA Lead must demonstrate how they meet the following requirements:
They must be fluent in Kiswahili; Relevant expertise in:
(1)
participating in or leading PEA in developing country contexts; (2)
working on public policy research and analysis, preferably in the
context of governance or social development and accountability;
(3) proactive development of and engagement in capacity development processes;
(4) networking and stakeholder engagement skills across state and non-state actor groups at local as well as national levels;
(5) concise and clear written and oral communication and expert use of graphical and tabular data presentation.
Internationally competitive experience in leadership and delivery of international governance and/or civil society programmes.

Required qualifications
- Master’s Degree or its International Equivalent in a Related Field.
- 6+ years of relevant experience managing data collection and technical assistance experience.
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO), government agency, or private organization.
