is a company owned by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and
Prisons Corporation Sole (PCS). The Company was established on 6th
September 2016. The main objective of the company is to undertake
production of sugar in Tanzania.

Laboratory Superintendent
Job Purpose:

To conduct supervision of factory laboratory, monitor product quality & quality at all stages of production.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinates
    and controls processing activities by ensuring continuous improvement
    and adherence to standard procedure for brown and refined sugar sampling
    and analysis;
  • Directs the recording of all process;
  • Checks the quality of cane;
  • Prepares annual operational and capital budgets of the section;
  • Trains the staff;
  • Controls budget;
  • Maintains sound laboratory Procedure;
  • Performs data monitoring process by conducting all materials and product reconciliations in the process house;
  • Ensures quality and process;
  • Controls factory time management;
  • Ensure that Certificates of Analysis (COA) and Certificate of
    Compliance (COC) are being produced and distributed and that compositing
    daily and weekly samples of each certificate is kept for references;
  • Manages staff and Laboratory machinery/equipment; and
  • Perform any other lawful duties as may be assigned to him/her.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor
    of Science in Chemical Processing Engineering or equivalent
    qualification and should have an experience of at least six (6) years’
    experience in Sugar processing Industry.

Raw House Incharge
Job Purpose:

To supervise Raw House Plant, monitor parameters on all stages of production.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Monitors Juice heating, clarification and evaporation performance;
  • Ensures good quality Massecuites are produced by closely supervising the pan boilers;
  • Performs centrifugal station sugar planning;
  • Monitor, control and focus on achieving brown sugar colour, turbidity and conductivity of required specs;
  • Prepare, compile and control raw house plant budgetary parameters;
  • Enhance Technology practices in raw house plant section;
  • Focus on achievement of Safety Health and Environment and Sugar quality accreditations;
  • Focus on minimum operating practices at every raw house stage so as to minimize losses;
  • Conduct in – service training to operators, pan boilers and on proper
    cleaning and daily maintenance of equipment / machines on the refinery
    plant; and
  • Performs any other duty as may be assigned

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma
    in Food Processing or equivalent qualification and should have an

Manufacturing Chemist/Shift Superintendent
Job Purpose:

Liaises
with Laboratory Superintendent, Raw House In charge, Refinery In charge
and Warehouse in charge on when to start the Production exercise under
the prevailing circumstances:
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Performs boiling house planning for both refinery and raw houses by ensuring efficient operations;
  • Makes good use of steam by ensuring that machines are operating
    efficiently and steam generations is adequate to production of both
    brown and refined sugar at time;
  • Communicates on all incidents;
  • Assists all employees during maintenance day;
  • Trouble shoots pans, evaporators pumps; and
  • Performs any other duty as may be assigned.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor
    of Science in Chemical Processing Engineering or equivalent
    qualification and should have an experience of at least six (6) years’
    experience in Sugar processing Industry.

Refinery In charge:
Job Purpose:

To supervise Refinery Plant, monitor parameters on all stages of
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the refinery plant operations professionally and effectively in the process section;
  • Ensures good quality massecuites are produced;
  • Performs centrifugal station sugar melting plan;
  • Monitors melt clarification and decolonization performance;
  • Supervises pan boilers;
  • Monitor, control and focus on achieving refined sugar colour, turbidity and conductivity of required specs;
  • Prepare, compile and control refinery plant budgetary parameters;
  • Enhance Refinery Technology practices in refinery plant section;
  • Focus on achievement of Safety Health and Environment and Sugar quality accreditations;

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Diploma
    in Food Processing or equivalent qualification and should have an
    experience of at least three (3) years’ experience in Refinery
    processing Plant, mainly sugar.

Auto-Electrician
He/She will be reporting to maintenance Supervisor-Auto electrician.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Carries out auto electrical repairs according to manufacturer’s specification;
  • Repairs electrical/electronic breakdowns including major breakdowns to company fleet and standby generators;
  • Submits spares requirement to workshop auto electric Charge hand;
  • Cares for all tools, service equipment, compressors, etc. in the workshop;
  • Carries out alternate electrical service to vehicles/tractor generators/mobile irrigation pumps as per schedule;
  • Maintains a clean working environment with proper housekeeping;
  • Does physical checkup and report any deviation/damage to company property; and
  • Performs any other related duty that may be assigned by superiors.

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Form
    IV with trade test certificate grade II in Auto electrician and should
    be above 3 years’ experience as an Auto Electrician.

Electrical Technician:
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Rectifies electrical faults;
  • Supervises subordinates;
  • Communicates with superiors on;
  • Diagnosis trouble shooting;
  • Supervises power generation;
  • Provides essential spares and tools;
  • Ensures servicing of motors; and
  • Performs any other duty assigned

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full
    Technician Certificate and Three years experience working as an
    electrical technician in a reputable institution preferably in
    factories.


Planning Officer (Planning and Research Officer):

Job Purpose
is to assist in facilitating preparation and implementation of the
Company’s Corporate Strategy, Annual Budgets monitoring and evaluation
of the implementation of the company plans, programs, projects and
general operations.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Advise the Management on matters related to Planning and Strategy Development;
  • Coordinate the formulation and preparation of Strategic and Annual Business Plan;
  • Provide technical support for institutionalization of Strategic Planning and Budgeting matters;
  • Prepare periodic reports on development and implementation of prepared plans from all Departments and Units;
  • Implement Monitoring and Evaluation plan of the Company’s successive Annual Action and Strategic Plans;
  • Advise on investment opportunities to assist the Company to effectively achieve its long and short-term objectives;
  • Provide technical support to Data Clerks on implementation of M&E Plan;
  • Coordinate the production of Company’s reports and compilation of statistics; and

Academic Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor
    degree in Economics, Agriculture Economics, Statistics, Planning,
    Business Administration or related qualifications. He/she should have
    three (3) years working experience from reputable organization.

Information & Communication Technology Manager :
Job Purpose
is management of Information communication Technology with the view to
maximize company value, reduces downtime, and optimizes resource use.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of ICT Systems for effective implementation of operations:
  • Ensure automation of business processes across the company;
  • Ensure most reliable and secured network and desktop environment,
    including hardware, software and productivity tools for the Company
    through optimized design, planning and use of best practices;
  • Set and achieve user-driven standards of operational performance for applications;
  • Develop and implement effective operational performance measures;
  • Determine priorities for acquisition of ICT equipment and services in collaboration with user departments;
  • Ensure the integrity of the technical infrastructure and systems architecture;
  • Evaluate and report on the effectiveness of the enterprise architecture;
  • Ensure adequate backup and recovery strategies and systems are in place and reviewed regularly;

Workshop and Transport Logistics Manager:
Job purpose
is to undertake general maintenance of Agricultural Machines, and all types of vehicles and sustainably manage its
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the overall function of the Mechanics Workshop;
  • Manage planned preventative and corrective mechanical maintenance on all of the company’s vehicles;
  • Diagnose, adjust, repair overhaul agricultural machines or equipment,
    trucks and light vehicles; maintain and repair any type of diesel or
    petrol engines;
  • Inspect and verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specification;
  • Managing the allocation of Company vehicles with respect to Departmental requirements/demand;
  • Allocating and supervising work daily to the Mechanics team;
  • Monitoring progress and inspecting completed work to ensure the required standards are achieved by Mechanics;
  • Undertake unplanned work resulting from breakdown and emergencies, which is to be dealt with efficiently;
  • Ensure all log books, requisition books and departmental records are
    effectively maintained to enable stock control, ordering of parts and
    all other workshop functions to operate efficiently;
  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts;
  • Produce weekly, monthly and annual statistics and reports; and

Academic Qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor
    or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering. He/she should have a
    minimum of 5 years’ experience managing Agricultural workshop and should
    have extensive knowledge of automotive issues, warranties, service and
    general repairs. Working in an intensive Sugar Industry Workshop will be
    an added advantage.


Risk and Quality Assurance Manager:

Job purpose is to undertake the organization’s comprehensive risk program, which could impede the organization’s performance.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Provide inputs in the formulation of risks framework and develop procedures to identify and address risks in the organization;
  • A conduct risk assessment which involves analyzing risks as well as
    identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting the business;
  • Preparing the periodic risks report;
  • Design, implement and improve the company’s quality standard;
  • Coordinate the Company’s compliance with international quality standards;
  • Ensure the highest degree of security within and the estate surrounding areas;
  • Coordinate all matters related to safety, health, environment and risks;
  • Act as liaison between Company and the Government security organs;
  • Coordinate outsourcing of estate security services when necessary; and
  • Conduct any other assignment as assigned by the


Academic Qualifications and experience:

  • Master
    degree plus CA/CPA/ACA or ACCA designation plus minimum of 5 years
    post­ qualification experience and proven success at Managerial level.
