Become a Certified Innovator and join a community of more than 1,700 passionate educators in over 50 countries who are excited to grow professionally, advocate for innovative technologies and drive school transformation.
The program kicks off with an in-person three day Innovation Academy focused on helping new participants define, design and eventually launch a transformative project. After the Academy, Innovators stay engaged through mentorship, ongoing learning and development trainings, and special opportunities from Google to advocate for transformative technologies and practices.

Google is looking for passionate, innovative K-12 teachers and school leaders who are Google for Education Level 2 Certified and who are driven to solve a challenge in the coming year.
You’ll take your initial interviews about the challenge at your school or district and your challenge video and bring it to the Google for Education Certified Innovator Academy. At the Academy, you’ll work with a small team and a coach from the innovator community. Your coach will support you before, during, and after the Academy. You’ll experience hands-on design thinking sprints, work through ideation and brainstorming, prototyping, validating and testing your idea, and eventually launch your solution. You’ll be paired 1:1 with a mentor from the Innovator community and work throughout the year to iterate and get support to make your project come alive!

Chief Executive Officer (CEO):
Summary: CEO serves the club and together with the Board, is responsible for executing the strategic objectives of the organization. The CEO will assure the club remains relevant to the community, achieves on-field success and is accountable to the diverse constituents and stakeholders. The Board delegates responsibility for management and day-to-day operations to the CEO and that person has the authority to carry out these responsibilities in accordance with the direction, policies and governance models established by the Board. Responsibilities:

  • Enforce the club’s values, set objectives for performance success and establish short/long-term goals of the organization.
  • Monitor and evaluate club’s relevancy to local community as an agent for social engagement that leads to aligned commercial opportunities
  • Keep board fully informed of key operations that directly influence the execution of club’s strategic plan. This includes identification of problems/opportunities, formulating solutions/responses whilst providing recommendations for the board
  • Ensure the development and operation of finance management systems and reports that allow for quality decision making

  • Provide general oversight of all club activities, manage day-to-day operations and assure club is running efficient organization

Requirements:

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Economics, Management or relevant field; MSc/ MBA preferred
  • 15+ years of proven experience as top Executive position preferably in sports field
  • Proven ability to manage an organization through a period of considerable structural and cultural change
  • Excellent communication and public speaking skills
  • Outstanding organizational, problem-solving, decision-making and leadership abilities
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance and performance management principles
  • Familiarity with diverse business functions i.e. marketing, PR, finance, etc.
  • Experience in working with a Boards of Directors and understanding of football clubs
  • Familiarity with Tanzania Football League Rules and Regulations

Summary:
The Senior Accountant is responsible for in-depth analysis and recording of sales and cost of sales (COS) related accounting topics to ensure the club’s sales and margin are accurately stated. Ensuring the integrity of accounting information is recordea, verified and consolidate when entering transactions.
Responsibilities:

  • Support the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that results in accurate and on-time financial reporting to accounting department and board

Membership ManagerSummary: This position is responsible for development of both professional and corporate membership, including participation in events and continuing education seminars as opportunities to build relationships.

Media Officer


Media Officer:Summary: Responsible for implementing key aspects of the club’s media strategy and raising the profile of the club and its campaigns. The Media Officer prepares responses to media enquiries and builds contacts with journalists across national, local, trade and consumer media with the aim of raising Simba’s profile, promoting Simba’s work and improving media portrayals of mental health issues.
Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible to run and manage Simba Newspapers and publications.
  • Providing an effective service to journalists by responding to enquiries and providing information, as a core member of the media team.
  • Devising, under the direction of the Chief Commercial Officer, and implementing media strategies for local and national Simba campaigns.
  • Working alongside the club’s policy team to develop media responses to major Government announcements and high-profile policy issues, producing press releases and quotes and briefing/advising the Chief Executive, Directors and relevant simba staff.
  • Organising media interviews as required with the club’s Chief Executive, Directors, and other spokespeople and service users, providing them with full pre-interview briefings.

Digital Platforms Officer:Summary: Responsible and in charge of the Simba Digital Platforms Department for photography/videography and social media of Simba teams players and staff during training, match day and club events, including promotion through social media.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be required to perform the following duties;

Overall Responsibility

  • The Incumbent is responsible for financial management of invoices submitted for payments, verification of payments, performs monthly accounting tasks, prepares monthly forecasts for approval by the F & A Manager and prepares monthly taxes and statutory payments.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Receives the prepared invoices for payments and verifies that the supporting documentation according to Rules on Financial Management;
  • Verifies that the approval sticker is attached to each invoice, is properly filled in and signed according to List of signatories and Rules on Financial Management;
  • Verifies that invoices issued by suppliers match the basic controls criteria;
  • Performs end of month Reconciliations and accounting closure every month;
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation for approval by the F&A manager;
  • Prepares the monthly forecasts for approval by the F&A manager;
  • Preparation of quarterly balance confirmations, and ensuring timely feedback to the audit unit;;
  • Monitors the cash needs and the forecasts for Kibondo office, and assists in case of need;
  • Supportsthe F&A Manager in the preparation of the monthly forecast;
  • Collects on monthly basis invoices with VAT to be recovered and organises all necessary paperwork for submission to relevant government authorities, ensures the follow-up to get reimbursements on due time,
  • Supervises the proper filing and archiving of all accounting documents.

Minimum required knowledge & experience

  • Certified Public Accountant(CPA II) or Association of Charted Certified Accountant (ACCA 2) or equivalent qualification;
  • Work experience of at least 2 years in a similar function (experience in a similar organization is an asset);
  • Excellent command of English;
  • Computer literate;
  • Experience in computerized accounting, preferably ERP software.
