DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

ii)    Design code, test debug and document software according to the functional requirements;
iii)     Develop, maintain and support programs/tools for internal and external clients/stakeholders;
iv)    Analyze, diagnose and resolve errors related to their applications;
v)    Help define project  plans requiring software development and hardware installations;
vi)    Provide technical and project management expertise across multiple area of application development;
vii)    Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as required;

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

i)    Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any closely related field from an accredited college or university;

iii)    At least 3+ years’ experience of using .Net and or Java development;
iv)    Should be able to cope within weeks and participate effectively in the ongoing project;
v)    Experience in  using MVC and  HTML 5 for developing Web applications;
vi)    Experience in Developing and Deploying and Integrating Web Services;
vii)    Experience of using object Relational Mapping Frameworks SUCH AS Entity Framework, Hibernate etc;

ix)    A solid understanding of OOP, principles;
x)    A good understanding of N-tier and N-layered architecture;

The C40 CAP Technical Officer’s relationship with the Dar es Salaam City Council and other key stakeholders is critical for efficient and effective delivery. The CAP Technical Officer will be based at the Dar es Salaam City Council Offices in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
As the ‘on the ground’ ambassador in Dar es Salaam, the CAP Technical Officer will also help to manage the partnership between the C40 Cities Climate Leadership Group and the Dar es Salaam City Council. This will include identifying and facilitating opportunities for collaboration, learning, innovation, action and advocacy, building local capacity, and building connections with other C40 cities and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in carbon accounting (preferably using the Global Protocol for Community Scale Greenhouse Gas Emissions Inventories – GPC), climate action planning, scenario planning and stakeholder engagement; substantial experience working with cities on climate action planning and risk assessments; and excellent problem solving, project management and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Support the City Adviser in the preparation of a comprehensive CAP Stakeholder Engagement Plan and lead on its endorsement and implementation i.e. continuous engagement with internal and external stakeholders, including local and national government partners, to ensure an all-inclusive CAP process is realized in the city.
Support the City Adviser in coordinating technical assistance with the aim of building capacity of the city to implement climate action;

Person Specification:
 A relevant post-graduate degree;

The Maternal and Child Health Officer (MCHO) is a self-motivated individual who will assist the Regional Maternal and Child Health Officer (RMCHO) in implementation of the MCH activities at district level. She/he will report to the Regional MCHO and will work in close collaboration with the Regional Maternal and Child Health Manager (RMCHM).

Duties: 

  •  Assist MDH supported PMTCT and Pediatrics clinics to meet the national standards for comprehensive management of HIV/AIDS

  • Support and supervise facility and provider tailored mentorship
  • Identify training needs among supported facilities and ensure that quality trainings are conducted

  • Assist the RMCHO & RMCHM in preparation of weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual district reports
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the line manager

Qualification:

  • Bachelor Degree/ Advance Diploma in Social Work

The Mahinya Training Centre for sustainable agriculture has been established in 2008, from a partnership between the Italian NGO COPE and the Archdiocese of Songea as local counterpart. • Monitors, and as necessary, coordinates compliance activities of other departments to remain abreast of the status of all compliance activities and to identify trends.
• Provides reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Corporate Compliance Committee of the Board and senior management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
• Ensures proper reporting of violations or potential violations to duly authorized enforcement agencies as appropriate and/or required.

Lushoto, known as Wilhelmstal during the German colonial rule, is one of the eight districts of Tanga
Region in Tanzania. It is bordered to the northeast by Kenya, to the east by the Muheza District, to the northwest by the Kilimanjaro Region and to the south by the Korogwe District. The district’s capital and largest town is Lushoto.It was formerly known as Wilhelmstal (William’s Valley) and was named after Emperor Wilhelm II.

During the German colonial period from the 1890s to 1918 the area was popular with settlers, hence the German place name of Wilhelmstal. Large farms and plantations were created, and the district was valued for its pleasant mountain climate. Numerous church missions were, and remain, active.
Between 1893 and 1911 the German Ostafrikanische Eisenbahngesellschaft (East African Railway Company) constructed an important railway line starting at Tanga on the coast and passing along the Usambara Mountains with a station at Mombo, about 20 kilometers (12 mi) from Wilhelmstal, to “New” Moshi at Kilimanjaro.

The initial plan of the Usambarabahn was to connect the port of Tanga with Lake Victoria by passing south of the Usambara Mountains. This was in direct competition with parallel British efforts in colonial Kenya. From 4 June 1912 to 12 May 1913 the line was renamed Nordbahn(Northern Railway).

About Bugando Medical Centre
The Catholic Church built the Hospital between 1968 – 1977 and it was offically opened by His Excellency the late President Julius Kambarage Nyerere on 3rd November 1971. In 1972 the Hospital was nationlized by the Government. However, in October 1985 the Government handed back the Hospital to the Tanzania Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Tanzania who is the owner with an agreement that the hospital be run in partnership with the government to provide Government Services as a referral and consultant hospital for the Lake Zone.
Bugando Medical Centre is a referral, consultant and university teaching hospital for the Lake and Western zones of the United Republic of Tanzania. It is situated along the shores of Lake Victoria in Mwanza City. It has over 950 beds and over 1300 employees.
It is a referral tertiary specialist care for eight regions and serves a catchment’s population of over 14 million people.

It is an exciting time to join our team as we will be opening a new radiotherapy centre located in the state- of- art oncology wing building at the hospital with Co-60 machine and conventional simulator to make it a regional hub for cancer treatment. It is the second established centre in the country.

Mwanza is Tanzania’s second-largest city, and the lake region’s economic heart. Mwanza is set on Lake Victoria’s shore, surrounded by hills. In addition to being a stop on the way to Rubondo Island National Park, Mwanza is a great starting or finishing point for safaris through Ngorongoro, Serengeti national parks and Mount Kilimanjaro.
